uncover. discover.

“the unknown is a fertile space”

This new moon, is a potent one that may reveal the unexpected, that may shift signals, like a radio station changing channels. During a rather static November, we open up for new sounds that reveal something truthful, authentic, that connects. The unknown is a fertile space – from within something new does grow. Something new is revealed. Something new is found. So listen deeply, channel what is stirring this new moon into stretching the body, into being with the earth with a walk in nature, into submerging in water with a bubble bath after practice.

We will dive in with a yin yoga & sound vibrations practice stretching towards openness and receptiveness, enjoying sound + tuning fork massages and ending the session into a dreamy final yoga nidra meditation. We allow the body to deepen and bring some rest to the very busy mind. A 2h cocoon dedicated fully to yourself. You deserve it.

Yin Yoga & Sound Vibrations – HOW IT FEELS
In yin yoga, a pose is held up to 3-6 minutes. They will go along with the season’s element and the stretches will be beneficial for this period’s organs and meridians.
Each pose has a rebound in between of a few minutes. A rebound means bringing the body in a neutral position to benefit from the asana you just practiced. In these moments you will enjoy a variety of massages performed either with singing bowls on your body or tuning forks. These massages induce more grounding, calm and reinforce the energy flow (chi) in your body.

About Yin Yoga
In yin yoga, a pose is held up to 3-6 minutes. Each asana has a rebound in between of a few minutes. A rebound means bringing the body in a neutral position to benefit from the asana you just practiced. It targets the fascia, the connective muscle tissue, allowing time to do its magic so that the body can deepen with the help of props and gravity. In Yin Yoga, it’s not about performing poses as displayed on textbooks, but rather honoring the body where it is on a particular day, enjoying the grounding effect of the practice. Yin. Yoga is based on the principles of Chinese medicine. The sequences are adapted towards the 4 seasons, which aside from the stretches, are designed to benefit the organs due to targeting their pressure points in each pose. All levels are welcome as the aim is to work with every body type.

About Yoga Nidra
Allow yourself to detach from your thoughts, fully relax, by diving into your body’s different layers and by activating your consciousness through the senses. Yoga nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full awareness. In a world where the mind is always busy on the to dos, this practice will have the benefits of reducing stress, anxiety and calm the monkey mind. This systematic method of relaxation has been proven to be as recharging as 4 hours of sleep. Yoga Nidra is practiced in savasana (corpse pose) and involves no movement. You will only need to let me guide you through the journey and hug your trust by just going with the flow.

Gina (Yin Yoga/Sound Healing/Yoga Nidra/Sivananda inspired Hatha)

Gina has stumbled upon all things Yoga and meditation in 2015, while googling methods to improve sleeping patterns, as she has the tendency to be quite a night owl, you know… Her practice made her build trust into the various processes of life, the low and the high rides, guiding her out of places of grief and a burn out. She has travelled extensively for the past 10 years, and let the practice shape her journeys around the world. She made it her mission to show in her teachings that it’s OK to slow down, it’s even necessary, in order to evolve and grow. She is a certified yoga teacher and merges her classes with yoga nidra, shamanic sound healing, tuning forks and yin yoga. Gina has been working in the CBD industry since 2017, founding the first plant medicine infused classes in Zurich two years later, sharing her deep knowledge about it with the aim to take away people’s potential fear about the plant, and encouraging an intuitive use of natural remedies for a deeper practice, pain management or anxiety relief. In 2021, Gina has expanded her studies by attending an additional advanced yoga nidra training and by going more in depth on the use of tuning forks. If teaching more dynamic classes, her Hatha sessions are inspired by the Sivananda practice, which puts an emphasis on focus, discipline, repetition to become aware of self improvement and resting in between asanas, to fully benefit from each pose.

Should you be pregnant, on anti-depressants or suffer from epilepsy, then this class is not for you.
